About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application / Cloud Architect to join a high-impact digital transformation program within European Institutions.
You will contribute to the design, evolution, and operation of large-scale corporate information systems, working in close collaboration with international stakeholders, technical teams, and business users.
This role offers long-term stability, technical challenges, and the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting EU policies and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise application architectures
- Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot complex application platforms
- Define and implement technical architecture components and building blocks
- Integrate heterogeneous systems and platforms
- Perform system architecture reviews and propose improvements
- Coordinate technical implementation across multiple teams
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and architecture designs
- Participate in technical workshops, project meetings, and stakeholder sessions
- Support testing, deployment, and production activities
- Act as technical interface between architects, developers, and project managers
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and development
- Strong expertise in:
- Java / JEE
- Angular
- Middleware platforms (WebLogic or similar JEE containers)
- Solid experience with:
- Messaging systems (Kafka, JMS)
- System integration & microservices
- Architecture design patterns and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of an international team
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle Middleware
- Knowledge of Akoma Ntoso XML standards
- ITIL or relevant middleware certifications
- Experience in large-scale public sector or enterprise environments
- French language skills
