About the Role
RELYzIT Talent is seeking an expert Front-End Engineer (Angular 2+) for a high-impact, freelance assignment with our client in Brussels. You’ll be at the heart of a major digital transformation, modernizing mission-critical systems that directly support humanitarian protection. As a Front-End Engineer, your expertise will accelerate the delivery of secure, scalable, and user-centric web applications — ensuring that vital decisions are made efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, scalable web applications using Angular 2+.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, reusable, and semantically structured code.
- Implement and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Ensure responsive, high-performance front-end architecture across devices.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute technical guidance and solutions within agile delivery teams.
- Continuously upskill and stay ahead of front-end technology trends and best practices.
- Assess and improve architecture and data models, proposing innovative alternatives.
Technical Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on front-end development experience.
- 5+ years building cloud-native front-end applications.
- 5+ years developing Single Page Applications (SPA).
- 5+ years of deep expertise with Angular 2+.
- 5+ years building and maintaining web portals.
- 5+ years in API development and integration.
- 5+ years in front-end architecture design.
- 3+ years working with design system component libraries.
- 3+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps).
- 5+ years in agile delivery teams.
- Optional: Java SE 10+ (minimum 2 years for full-stack experience), event-driven or behavior-driven development, domain-driven design, and knowledge of federal building blocks/services.
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English is required.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch or French is mandatory.
Other Requirements
- Higher education degree in Computer Science from a recognized EU institution (diploma and CV required).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and upskilling in modern front-end practices.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player with the maturity to work independently and proactively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Onsite presence required 3 days per week in Brussels (hybrid model).
- This is a hands-on implementation role, not a pure lead or advisory position.
- Not suitable for candidates seeking primarily remote work (minimum 3 days onsite required).
