About the Role
Our client is seeking a Medior Angular Frontend Developer for a high-impact, 12-month freelance assignment in Brussels. This is a mission-critical role where your expertise will directly shape secure, user-centric digital experiences for a vital national organization. You’ll be at the heart of a team that values precision, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and optimizing new Angular-based frontend applications with a focus on security and usability
- Enhancing and maintaining existing frontend solutions to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborating closely with backend, UX/UI, and product teams to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences
- Implementing and integrating microservices and webservices within a modern architecture
- Driving continuous improvement through rigorous testing and code reviews
- Championing best practices in frontend development, version control, and agile delivery
- Contributing to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and ongoing evolution
Technical Skills
- Angular (confirmed, 5+ years of hands-on experience)
- Gitlab for version control and CI/CD
- Microservices architecture and integration
- Comprehensive testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- UX/UI design principles and implementation
- Webservices (RESTful APIs, SOAP, etc.)
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in Dutch or French, with working knowledge of the other national language
- Professional proficiency in English
Other Requirements
- Belgian nationality is mandatory
- Possession of a "top secret" security clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- All work must be performed onsite in Brussels (no remote work possible)
- Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving mindset, and a drive for impact
- Experience working in high-security or mission-critical environments is a plus
