About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Fullstack Spring/Angular Developer for a high-impact, 12-month freelance engagement in Brussels. You’ll be at the heart of the "Electronic Payment Comparator" project, building a web application that empowers merchants to make informed, independent decisions about payment solutions. This is your chance to shape a platform that brings transparency and innovation to the payments ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and developing robust, scalable web applications using Angular for the frontend and Spring Boot for the backend
- Building intuitive interfaces for merchants to compare payment solutions and for providers to manage their offerings
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready features
- Ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices and code reviews
- Integrating RESTful APIs and ensuring seamless data flow between frontend and backend
- Utilizing GIT for version control and JIRA for project tracking
- Applying UML for system design and documentation
- Championing a builder-first mindset, taking ownership of outcomes and driving continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in fullstack development with Angular (confirmed) and Java (confirmed)
- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot (junior to confirmed level)
- Solid understanding of Javascript (confirmed) and RESTful API integration (confirmed)
- Working knowledge of .Net (junior), GIT (junior), and JIRA (junior)
- Familiarity with UML for system design (junior)
- Builder mindset: proactive, outcome-driven, and passionate about delivering impact
- Ability to work partially remote, collaborating effectively with distributed teams
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus
